The weather is set to remain changeable over the coming week. It could rain at any moment, and indeed it often does. Wir beschlie\u00dfen, jetzt einfach einmal Urlaub zu machen. Am Mittwoch meldet sich unser niederl\u00e4ndischer Freund, der mit seiner auf ihrem 16 m Motorboot lebt. Der Generator ist ausgefallen und bei dem herrschenden Wetter k\u00f6nnen die Sonnenpaneele mit dem Verbrauch nicht mehr Schritt halten. Noch dazu haben sie zwei befreundete Jugendliche, Lykka und Jeppe aus Flensburg, zu Gast.<\/p>

Wir bieten an, mit dem Auto vorbeizukommen und mit dem Eigner in Agios Nikolaos nach einem geeigneten Reservegenerator zu schauen. Um 10:00 treffen wir uns in Elounda, wo ihr Boot vor Anker liegt. Zwei Stunden sp\u00e4ter sind wir mit dem neuen Teil und 10 Liter Benzin wieder zur\u00fcck und werden zu einem Barbecue an Bord eingeladen. Wir verbringen einen netten Nachmittag und Abend und haben viel Spa\u00df zusammen.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

We decide to just take a holiday for now. On Wednesday, we heard from our Dutch friend who lives on his 16-metre motorboat. The generator has broken down and, given the current weather, the solar panels can no longer keep up with the power demand. On top of that, they have two young friends, Lykka and Jeppe from Flensburg, staying with them.<\/p>

We offer to drive over and help the owner look for a suitable spare generator in Agios Nikolaos. At 10:00 we meet in Elounda, where their boat is moored. Two hours later we\u2019re back with the new part and 10 litres of petrol and are invited to a barbecue on board. We spend a lovely afternoon and evening and have a good time together.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Das Wochenende verbringen Hanna und ich ohne gro\u00dfe Aktivit\u00e4ten „zu Hause“, wobei wir aufmerksam die Entwicklung des Sturmtiefs beobachten, aber je mehr Zeit vergeht, umso klarer wird uns, dass es sehr ungem\u00fctlich werden wird \u2013 ausgerechnet am 1. April!<\/p>

Vorher wollen wir aber die gr\u00fcne und bl\u00fchende Gegend genie\u00dfen, die sich jetzt nach dem Regen in voller Pracht pr\u00e4sentiert. Dazu fahren wir am Montag (30. M\u00e4rz) nach dem Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck mit dem Bus nach Kavousi. Von dort wandern wir oberhalb der Havgas-Schlucht nach Azoria, um die dortige Ausgrabung wieder einmal zu besuchen. Je nachdem wie viel Zeit noch \u00fcbrig ist, k\u00f6nnten wir dann noch einen Abstecher in die Mesonas-Schlucht machen, oder direkt nach Kavousi zur\u00fcckkehren, um den Bus um ca. 15:00 zur\u00fcck nach Sit\u00eda nicht zu verpassen. Das tun wir dann auch.<\/p>

Es wird eine wunderbare Wanderung in unserer Lieblingsgegend, nicht zu anstrengend f\u00fcr den Anfang, aber doch lang genug, um das Gef\u00fchl zu bekommen, dass wir etwas f\u00fcr unsere Fitness getan haben.<\/p>

Hanna and I are spending the weekend \u2018at home\u2019 without doing much of anything, keeping a close eye on the storm system as it develops, but the more time passes, the clearer it becomes that the weather is going to be very unpleasant \u2013 of all days, on 1 April!<\/p>

But first we want to enjoy the green and blossoming countryside, which is now looking at its most beautiful after the rain. To do this, we take the bus to Kavousi on Monday (30 March) after breakfast. From there, we hike above the Havgas Gorge to Azoria to visit the archaeological site there once again. Depending on how much time we have left, we could then make a detour to the Mesonas Gorge, or return directly to Kavousi so as not to miss the bus back to Sit\u00eda at around 3 pm. That is what we end up doing.<\/p>

It will be a wonderful hike in our favourite area, not too strenuous to start with, but long enough to feel that we\u2019ve made a contribution to our fitness.<\/p>
